2018 Engineer Of The Year
On the 3rd of April 2018, Service Director Jon Killengray held his “new financial year kick off” meeting. A time for reflection on the year just passed and an opportunity to share our new goals and strategy for 2018/19 with the service department.
This year, Jon introduced the ‘Engineer of the Year’ award to celebrate the outstanding contributions and achievements of our team of engineers. Jon formed and internal panel, that included staff from our service and support team and the board of directors. He also discussed our engineers performance with some of our customers.
This years winner, Tony Connor, has been with Geerings for almost three years. When we partnered with Toshiba, Tony was a key member of the project team; delivering training to support staff and engineers, and leading the Toshiba division of our Technical Centre at our Head Office in Ashford.

Tony received a personal keepsake, his name is the first on the new engineer of the year winners cup and he and his partner have enjoyed a romantic meal on us!
Jon recognised the entire service operation and took the team on a driving experience day. The team took part in a quad biking obstacle course, drove apache rally cars and ended with some target archery and a BBQ.
